System Status and availability
Where can I see the current system status of oneclick™?
You can view the current operational status of all oneclick™ services on our official status page: System Status
There you can see the status of the platform as well as any ongoing incidents or maintenance work.
Connectivity & VPN
Which VPN options can be connected with oneclick™?
You can connect your infrastructure to oneclick™ via VPN IPsec. Site-to-site connections can be established in an automatic mode or an extensive manual mode. We support IKEv1 and IKEv2 with all common algorithms. For the requirements, see Connection via VPN IPsec.
If you do not want to set up a VPN, you can also connect your resources via oneclick™ Mesh, Port Forwarding, or Direct Internet access.
Is oneclick™ able to replace my VPN client?
Yes, oneclick™ can deliver your business applications and desktops in the browser to e.g. sales representatives or employees in home office without the need to install VPN software (client-to-site) on end devices.
File & Resource Management
How is the file exchange between the local end device and the VDI working?
The oneclick™ Hybrid Drive enables file exchange between the local end device and the VDI using drag-and-drop. The ability to share folders ensures secure collaboration with team members, customers, and partners.
Is it possible to connect external storage to oneclick™?
Yes. You need the Professional user license, which includes the Hybrid Drive app. In this app you can connect external storage, such as SMB shares. The files that you want to use within your applications can then be dragged and dropped into the mounted drive “Hybrid App Share on oneclick”.
Hardware Integration
Is it possible to use USB devices with oneclick™?
In the browser, known standard devices such as a mouse and keyboard are passed through. For more complex devices such as dongles, card readers, and specialized hardware, use the optional oneclick™ Gateway with secure USB redirection, or FabulaTech USB over Network. See also Choose the right access method.
Is it possible to integrate my printer into oneclick™?
Yes. With the oneclick™ Hybrid Printer, you print as a PDF on your local printer, see Print in oneclick™. With the oneclick™ Gateway, you print directly from the session to your local printers.
For more complex scenarios, for example printing in the corporate network from a home office, third-party solutions such as Printix or Ezeep are available.

What types of applications can I connect and deliver in oneclick™?
It is possible to connect the following types of applications:
- Connections to servers with Windows or Linux applications: You can deliver desktops, terminals or individual applications.
- Cloud resources with Windows or Linux applications: You can deliver desktops, terminals or individual applications.
- Web resources, such as internal or public websites or applications: These are opened through “browser-in-browser” technology in an isolated container managed by oneclick™ and optionally made available with single sign-on.
SSO, AD & Authentication
Is it possible to use my SSO provider with oneclick™?
Yes. Users can log in with an identity provider such as Entra ID, Google, or OAuth 2.0 (for example Okta, set up together with oneclick™ support). You allow this with a policy, optionally as the only login method. Other identity providers are available on request.
Servers, VDI & Operating Systems
Which server operating system version is included in the VDI packages?
A Microsoft® Windows Server Datacenter 64-bit license for version 2019, 2022, or 2025 is included, depending on which version is supported by the respective cloud provider.
In addition, oneclick™ offers DaaS with Windows 11: Windows 11 Enterprise as a dedicated virtual machine per user, with selected cloud providers. For details, see DaaS with Windows 11.
What is a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure?
A virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) is an efficient form of application provision. Software applications are run at a central data centre location and operated by users via remote access. Each user is assigned their own virtual computer on a server.
How do users access the oneclick™ VDI?
Access is provided by default via the browser, without any additional installation.
Alternatively, the oneclick™ Gateway can be used for connections via RDP or RDM files, see Access to the remote system.
Both options are launched via the oneclick™ platform and are encrypted.
A secured login service, automatic password rotation, multi-factor authentication, and additional security mechanisms reliably protect access.
Can I use Microsoft Office 365 on the VDI?
Yes, but due to Microsoft’s licensing regulations, you can only use certain license types. Office on a multi-user VDI requires shared computer activation, which the following Microsoft plans include:
- Microsoft 365 Business Premium
- Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise
- Office 365 E3 / E5
- Microsoft 365 E3 / E5
Microsoft 365 Business Basic and Business Standard do not include shared computer activation and cannot be used on a multi-user VDI.
To ensure consistent and audit-compliant licensing, we recommend purchasing Microsoft licenses directly through oneclick™. We are a Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider (CSP), participate in the Microsoft CSP Hoster Program, and offer licenses under the Service Provider License Agreement (SPLA).
App2App & System Communication
Is app2app communication possible?
Yes, it is possible that, for example, that Excel is triggered within Sage and then opened. However, both programs must be installed on the same server.
Licenses & Rights
Do I need RDS CAL with oneclick™?
For a single-user environment on a Windows Server operating system, you do not require additional Microsoft licenses. However, if you want to build a multi-user environment (via oneclick™ Cloud Resource Manager or via a connection to RDS servers), you must have a valid license for Microsoft Windows Remote Desktop Services.
Depending on the type of delivery, there are different licensing options for Microsoft Windows Server:
-
Delivery from your own data center (On-Premises) For this purpose you need a “Microsoft RDS Client Access Licenses” (RDS CAL)*.
-
Delivery from a hosted data center (Private, Public) For this purpose, you can use a “Microsoft RDS Client Access Licenses” (RDS User CAL)* with active “Microsoft Software Assurance” (SA). This applies to user CALs only, not to device CALs. Alternatively, you can use a “Microsoft RDS Subscriber Access Licenses” (RDS SAL) from the Microsoft SPLA License Program as part of a monthly billing. It depends on your cloud provider whether you need to license Microsoft RDS SAL yourself or whether the license is included in the cost of use. You can book Microsoft RDS SAL as an add-on to your app license.
It is often assumed that no RDS licensing is required when the desktop of a Windows Server or applications installed on it are accessed through a third-party solution such as oneclick™. That is not the case. Administrative access by up to two admin users at the same time is possible without an RDS license. As soon as users without admin rights access a server with the Remote Desktop Session Host (RDSH) role, or applications provided through it, an RDS license (CAL or SAL) is required. It is irrelevant whether Microsoft Remote Desktop Services or any other technology is used for access.

*Microsoft RDS CAL can be licensed per user or per device. In most cases, user licensing is the best option.
I booked Microsoft RDS SAL through oneclick™. What do I need to do?
You do not receive license keys. The licenses are registered on a Microsoft Remote Desktop license server. How this happens depends on who runs your infrastructure:
- oneclick™ manages your cloud infrastructure: oneclick™ has the required access and registers the licenses when the infrastructure is provided. You do not need to do anything.
- You run your own infrastructure: oneclick™ needs temporary administrative access to the server with the Remote Desktop license server role. Usually, oneclick™ support contacts you after your order to schedule an appointment. During the appointment, support enters the oneclick™ SPLA license ID on the license server, registers the number of licenses you ordered, and registers the license server on your Remote Desktop Session Host (RDSH). If you grant oneclick™ administrative access in advance, support can register the licenses without an appointment.
You do not need to change anything on your servers yourself.
